Hi all, I don’t know what thes white balls are on one of my trachyphyllia corals that is still in quarantine tank. So far, this is the only coral that is heavily infested with this thing. Other corals seem ok. I did lugol’s dip last night with only a few balls on it, but this is the picture of the same coral this morning. It looked really bad, so I dipped in hydrogen peroxide solution. I will probably have to treat the whole quarantine tank with something. I took some biopsies to look under microscope. No sign of any fungal/yeast, probably some kind of bacteria but couldn’t see much, and also a kind of opportunistic dinoflagellates Infest on this coral (see pictures). My plan is to use ciprofloxacin for the treatment. Any identification and/or potential treatment is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Looks like sponge

It’s more of mucus-like texture, probably not a sponge.
Possibly bacterial, chrysophytes or similar. I can’t get to a computer screen to take a closer look

Thank you! Do you think that ciprofloxacin will do the job for bacterial infection? What if they’re chrysophytes, how can I treat it?

For both - scrub with firm brush and finish with toothbrush and peroxide prefer outside the tank and add 1 ml of peroxide per 10 gallons at night for 10 days
No effect on coral
