This might be a stupid question but can I add more sand to my BC32? I'm almost over (hopefully!) a gha battle and I've lost a good amount of sand having to pluck out pieces. I have hermits, 2 clowns, lawnmower blennie, 1 royal gramma and 3 trochus snails with live rock and live sand.

absolutely ok to add more.
Rinse it, slowly add it to make sure it doesn't get too cloudy.
There's a thread on here somewhere about how to to it.
I add more every other year or so due to the same issues you state.

Yes, you most definitely can!

I would just do it slowly, because disturbing a mature tanks sandbed can cause lots of problems you don't want to deal with, so just gently add little sections of sand to your tank.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
