Hi guys! I just got some coral, and they included some free frags. One of the frags they included was an orange psammacora. I have never kept SPS before and my set up is pretty basic: Fluval Evo 13.5 with stock lights, a media basket with filter floss and Chemipure blue, and a hydor koralia nano that I run during the day (I try to keep the flow towards the top of the tank though because my mushroom hates it). My tank isn’t that old, only about 9 months. I’m wondering if it is possible/a good idea for me to keep the psammacora as is in my tank, or if I need to make upgrades or give the frag to someone else? Also, if y’all have any recommendations on psammacora care, I’d appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

I would put the frag high up as the stock lights aren’t the greatest.

Keep it for a little while, if it doesn’t seem happy/starts to lose color then I’m sure your LFS will take it as a trade or store credit or you can trade/sell it to another local reefer. Always options!
