I would like to get a harlequin shrimp. Can I house a few chocolate chip starfish in my 2 sumps (for food)? Do they need light? Will the protein skimmers cause any problems

There is nice algae/ brown slime built up for the starfish

Sooooo not the nicest thing for the stars, but I heard on a video once I think from WWC that you can freeze those stars, then cut and offer one leg at a time to feed harlequin shrimp. I don't know if there's a "nice" way to euthanize the stars, typically freezing to death is not as nice as it may seem from the outside.

I was told by the local store the leg needs to be moving

And another post suggested 4 starfish and take a small piece 1/5 or 1/4 a leg a week and rotate between starfish recovers so they can recover

Well I'm just mentioning something I saw in a video, I have zero first hand knowledge here, so maybe some else will know for sure.
