Getting a WB 110.4. The ATO reservoir is too small for my liking. I'm going to cut out the wall for the ATO. However the wall in green is attached to it. What is that wall for? Can I remove it without any repercussions? I assume it's there for a reason.

Is it baffle to stop bubbles from entering return pump section of the sump?

Two ato sounds interesting. Why not just a larger reservoir since your going to have to add one anyway if your adding a second ato, which I've never heard of anyone doing but there's a lot I don't know about.
I'm just trying to use the space. Plus a 10g reefcan is 8 inches wide while a 5g reefcan is 4 inches. I'm also trying to maximize whatever space I have left in the cabinet. I have a lot of equipment which will mostly be mounted on the wall. I'll need room for the Trident and whatever ATO reservoir though.

Now that begs the question if there's an ATO that can pull from 2 reservoirs? I was just thinking 2 separate ATOs.

If you use an Apex you could use a couple sensors with the separate pumps and program it to switch from one pump to the other if the first res was empty.

Yes I have an apex and that's a good idea. However any reason I couldn't just leave both running?

I suppose that wouldn't hurt either. I was under the impression you want to switch from the first res to the second when the first was low on water.
