Can i run one 10g??

Hello guys.. i want know if with this setub without sump and no filter i can run a sps nano reef aquarium.

Are you planning on using something to circulate the water? I think you'll be okay though. Here's a simple 10g that's been running for years.

I'll tell you straight off. SPS dominant nano is HARD. You'll want a way to keep alk up... it'll drop, and drop fast. Then you dose just a little bit and it spikes too high. It can be done but it's a lot of work. I'm not familiar with the light, so I can't say whether it'll grow SPS, but in shallow tanks you don't need a whole bunch of power. Spread is harder to get. I don't run a skimmer. Never had one don't plan on getting one. I do 2 water changes a week. I run a media basket with filter floss and a little bit of reef spec carbon in a bag. That's my only filtration. I have a Koralia 565 powerhead for flow.

Oh man I missed that you were looking to do SPS. I'd caution against that. Robin is totally right.

You could stylophora, montipora and some other easier sps but anything else would require daily alk monitor and a automatic dosing pump.

Actually i run one 5G sps dominant picoreef .. but this one have sump but without skimmer..

I ask this because my mame skimmer will arrive in 1 month.

Check out my build thread if you want some ideas. I'd run a sump unless it's an AIO tank. I'm still considering gutting the AIO section of my tank and adding a sump.
