I believe this pump was meant to be with my ADA canister filter... It's new, can it serve a purpose in salt water?

That is a booster pump. It's primary use would be to raise the inlet pressure to a RODI filter. Makes them run more efficient. They tend to be very low flow.I believe this pump was meant to be with my ADA canister filter... It's new, can it serve a purpose in salt water?

Great booster pump for improved RODI water production but not rated for continuous duty.Only intended to boost water pressure under low volume.I believe this pump was meant to be with my ADA canister filter... It's new, can it serve a purpose in salt water?

That looks like a pressure booster, made to increase the pressure to a RODI filter.
The one you have would work fine as long as the hose diameter matches with the pump. There is a youtube video by BRS that shows you how to connect these pumps to your RO unit. My work really doesn't like people to go to Youtube or I would have linked you to the video.
It's hooked into your existing water supply, usually near your washer/dryer or underneath the kitchen sink, so no pump is needed as it works off of your water pressure of your home. A booster pump is only needed if your existing water pressure is so low that your RODI filters to work as efficiently as they should. If your home water pressure is around 70-75 psi, you wont need that booster pump.My RODI above. I guess he didn't give me the pump. Recommendation?
