I remember Prince's song 1999 and how far away that year seemed when it came out. It felt like it was an eternity.

And then came 2000 and the whole Y2K fiasco--and everyone's computer was going to crash. Nothing happened.;Hilarious

You blink your eyes and it's 2020. Holy Batman!

Here's wishing you a Happy New Year. May this year be full of happiness, and health.

Where are all the flying cars and food in pill form I was told was gonna be common back in middle school days ( late 80s). Granted the other option was the we would of wiped the human race off the planet by now. I am honestly kinda disappointed we have not progressed that much in that time. I guess in ways we have like electronics but if anything social media WILL be the death of us all. I am hoping that in the next 40 years we will be in a better place as a species but the way its looking its gonna be a rough one. Some days I feel bad for my kids and other days I have faith in humans to do the right thing and make this a better place. We are at a tipping point in a lot of areas, environment, population, clean water and food. Here is to hoping we will rise up and fix the issues we created or at least when the bombs start falling I am the first one hit...I really dont want to live in an apocalyptic wasteland. I was not good at playing fallout.

Plus and minus's

2019 can bite me lol. The only good thing to come of this year was the reef tank I won. I’ve lost lots of fish, family, friends, had massive health issues, as has hubbs. Beloved pets have become lost, irreplaceable keepsakes gone. So this coming year must be kinder. I’m hoping to have some sort of financial stability this year. Maybe some breakthrough pain relief that’ll give me back full use of my hands. Corals that won’t shrivel and die. Lol.

On a less depressing note, you mentioned the Y2K and that brings me to a fond memory of dad, his wife and her daughter and I. So dad was a little worried the power grids were gonna fail. We were hanging out at their house. I was pregnant with my daughter. I told Amber(hubbs wife’s daughter) “After the ball drops, give it a second and hit the main breaker” Oh how Iwish I could have seen his face lol. He told me afterwards he got a little worried hahaha. Fun times.

I’ll be bringing it in with the tanks, and probably fallout 76 with some family and friends. Gotta take a nap to be up that late lol. (I feel old )
