My candy cane fell of my rock and landed on my chalice who absolutely annihilated it. Should I remove the damage head or is it possible it'll grow back?

Something similar happened to my candy cane, my urchin moved it and dropped it off right next to my Duncan, which promptly stung the poo out of one of the polyps.

But the polyp grew back & actually split!
