I’m not sure why my candy cane coral looks like this sometime and other days all the heads are nice and blown up like the ones on the left?

Nitrate is high and likely stressing them. They do best when placed at mid tank and under moderate light and water flow with feedings 2-3x per week with mysis shrimp or similar

Mine just do this when they eat and poop. I run my nitrates rather high and they’ve never been like this consistently between days
