Have to agree with this I’m afraid !

dang it, I’m glad I took pictures . 2 of those pieces of lava rock I have no issues with. The other two have the Xenia, can I take those off safely ?

Xenia you want too keep on an island away from your main scape .. otherwise it will take it over before you know it

I put aggressive coral where I wanted it not to go. Would that do the trick ?

I love Xenia but it can really take over a tank once it’s established, they are like weeds in your garden and will choke off and outcompete other corals for light and nutrients.. I know you probably don’t want to hear this but I would get rid of it or at the very least do like Jason Mack said and keep it on its own rock away from everything else.. I would suggest replacing volcanic rock with a calcium based rock and doing some large water changes you can also try putting a poly filter made by poly bio marine in your filter system it will absorb harmful substances from your water, it will turn different colors according to what it’s pulling from water.. for example: if it turns orange It’s removing iron.

It will just grow around any aggressive corals you may have.. I would wait a couple months until your tank stabilizes before putting more corals into it.

Definitely not adding anything to it. I’m going to post pictures with the lights on soon. I’m going to my LFS to get some live rock and replace the lava rock. Thanks again

Most of the coral came with the tank. It was just really bad as it had not seen lights in weeks probably. I just want to fix what I have and maybe 6 months down the road add a fish or two.

However, I think this candy coral is good correct ? Any live rock I should shy away from. LFS said 3$ and up per pound. So want to make sure I get something great before I invest 100-200 dollars. I don’t mind, just want the best for the reef
