I haven't noticed people mispronouncing anemone nearly as much as Chaetomorpha. "chaeto"--->"cheato"

I think for a lot of people this is mainly due to auto correct. Anytime I try and type Chaeto it changes it to cheato automatically.

That absolutely happens. Though, we're referring to the spoken word, not the typed.
And besides, you can correct the auto-correct's overzelousness, I sure do.

I can understand your frustration but not everyone received an A in English furthermore I think people mean well. Lastly don't be that person who sends emails to a co workers about proper grammar spelling and so on! Let live live!!! It's not hurting anyone!

lol I know... but there just are "those people" out there! I have to laugh because I sent an email and my customer graded it then returned it!! And I have a Masters! I couldn't believe she did that!

Ohhh I know how that goes. Had it happen to me a couple weeks ago. I laughed at first. Then a second email from the same person came in a couple days later doing the same thing....

Because of her accent my mother has a tough time with the words sheets and beach. You can guess what they sound like when she says them.

Fair point haha. I think the worst for me came from working in a store that carried both Freshwater and Saltwater. Hearing someone refer to cichlids as "chicklids" was like nails on a chalkboard.

Now, that's some funny stuff, chicklids! Had me ROFL

I have been watching a lot of youtube videos, most recently about anemone husbandry and related topics.
There is something that a lot of the most popular reef streamers and rookies alike are guilty of:
They mispronounce the word ANEMONE!
Instead of [uh-nem-uh-nee], they say [uh-nen-uh-mee]!
It really drives me crazy!!
If you've never noticed it before, you will now haha ;)

Am I being overly sensitive? Absolutely.

I think you should do a youtube video and show us how it's done. Trust me, there are all sorts of words that end up being way harder to say out loud than to read them in a book, on a product, or on an electronic screen. My latest video, I held the words up to the screen so I didn't embarrass myself further. :D;Wooto_O:)
