Is anyone here possibly a card collector? My fiancee was given.. a TON of cards when he was a baby from an elderly neighbor, who's husband used to collect and died while he was sorting through them.. all these years later hes deciding to sell them and we have ZERO idea about any of this. Majority are NBA some are baseball. I'm trying to go through them but I'm not a sports person. And have no idea what I'm doing. Does anyone have any clue what these numbers might mean? 1561576520273.jpeg 1561576509144.jpeg

they are probably the number on the back of the card - each card from that era will have numbers designating what # in the set they are

So should I theoretically look for the cards with those numbers and see if they are worth anything? Theres like.. a couple thousand cards here

My guess would be cards that they didn't have and they crossed them out as they got them? Most trading cards have a number on the back - at least they did when I was a kid :)

Edit, I still have sets of cards in the attic. I used to love getting trading cards for holidays, me and all my friends would get the Beckett magazines to see what we got and what they were worth. Fond memories :)
