Hi,

I just got a carpet anemone yesterday. It anchored on the rock the whole day but then when the lights turned off it started moving and it’s upside down…do I need to flip it over or will it be able to find a way to be upright? I don’t wanna stress it out if not necessary…just not sure if they can fix themselves..

You need to check parameters asap. Healthy nems do not just let go like that. A nem not attached is not a good sign.

Will do that now. Should I flip it upright for now or is it able to on its own?

Leave it until you check parameters. You’re likely going to have to do a water change or rehome it. It’s not going to reattach until whatever issue is resolved.

I would flip it down, make a hole on the sand, and help it secure its foot to the sand/glass.

I just did that for my red Haddoni today - water params are fine. It didn’t like the MP40 I just put in.
