why do carpet nems push up the sand is it the way they find the right place for the flow asking for a feind

No, they bury their foot in the sand. More than likely trying to pick its spot

you can see like a big mound of sand were it is

They, the anemones, are going down. The displaced sand have no where to go but up. Certainly the sand cannot move side-way.
