the long and short of it.
I washed out some special grad sand for the new build. look way longer then i thought to get the tank in the house.
cat pooped in the tub of clean sand that I had in the basement fish room...

What The Wtf GIF by SWR3


so after scooping do you all think a good washing then a soak in bleach for a few hours then a day or two to dry out in the sun would do the trick?

Oh man! That's a tough break! Darn!

I mean...it's organic...I think wash, bleach, and dry should be good enough.

Sorry! I can't imagine how frustrating that would be!

I feel like it would be ok? Honestly, never seen this happen before haha

Im glad you removed it. nothing left behind as trace material would concern me for this environment. simply pre rinse the sand so the standard clouding is gone/totally clear like a laser can't cloud/then use in new tank will be fine

And thats why Im a dog person! Hopefully it works out!
