So some bad news my fire fish had an anal prolapse and did not make it unfortunately. Haven't decided what to do. Do I leave it just the clowns and scooter? Was thinking about a peaceful damsel as they can hold their own and if it doesn't work out I have a lot of tanks it could go into if it doesn't work out. I did go shopping for my birthday this weekend and got myself a beautiful Pocillopora that I couldn't resist

Tank looks great! Sorry to hear about the firefish.
Peaceful damsel can work, though the clown might not like something else in its territory.
I would look at a shrimpgoby, tailspot blenny, or a gramma.

Yeah I was thinking maybe the blenny as well. It is hard to decide and I might just leave it the clowns and scooter. Apparently my husband put a pedersons shrimp on order for me so I am super excited. Decisions decisions.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome! I have good news my acans have some growth! This is exciting for me as I had them under the stock light for about a month before getting the ai prime which I have had about a week now. So I am happy it is doing well and growing! All the hard work is paying off

Couple updates I added an azure damsel and a sharknose goby after qt. them. Unfortunately somehow my ruby scooter must of spooked (my cats most likely jumping around the tank) and somehow was on top of the lid to my tank. I have a fine mesh lid on this after the kraken lid let the goby jump about a year ago. So I really do not know how he got on top of the lid? Anyways clowns investigated the damsel for like 5 minutes thankfully no aggression and has left him alone since. Goby had no issues going in and has a little hole in the rock that he likes. I will keep observing for any aggression and if anything pops up I have 5 other tanks I can move the damsel in. Coral seems to be doing great my frogspawn has a head that is splitting, acans have babies on the sides, sps are encrusting well, and the clove polyps already have runners attaching to the rock. Overall very happy with the progression of this tank. Thats enough from me here are some pictures!

Well did some maintenance today! Sorry haven't updated in a while I have been pretty busy and honestly not too much has changed. All the fish have been getting along nicely occasionally the female clown will dive bomb the damsel but not hurting it at all. The damsel is always out and about and is no longer shy of me. The sharknose goby loves to clean my hand every time I put my hand in the tank. I keep debating moving the frogspawn out and putting it in our 47 gallon. It is getting huge and the heads aren't spread far enough to frag it without worry. I mean it has like 7 or 8 heads but they are just so compact. It keeps trying to reach across to sting the Duncan and trumpet. Anyways here are some pictures though the corals are still a little angry at me.

So the husband and I went to the large frag swap in Lansing today just to have fun and get some cheap stuff. Well I wound up getting myself 2 new frags for this tank. I got myself a new goniopora as my pink one was slowly kicking the bucket. For some reason never wanted to open up. To be fair it was a tiny frag about dime sized so I think it just was the odds against me. Anyways the new goniopora opened up within 20 mins of putting it in.
My other new coral is a beautiful green fox coral. I have been searching for one for a while now and finally found one that looked healthy and for a good price! I did remove my green star polyp rock and put that in another tank. We had a bunch of dry rock hanging around so I just rinsed a smaller piece off and attached the fox coral right to that. It is already nice and fluffed out and looks amazing!
Here are pictures of the new corals. I will probably post fts tomorrow after cleaning the tank.

Everyone is looking good, just cleaned the glass today and added a staghorn hermit crab. They have been sitting at our one local fish store for months now and I decided to finally bite the bullet and get one because they are so gosh darn cute. The 2 frags I got last weekend for the swap look great still. I am a happy woman! Love my little slice I have all to myself.

Really nice tank! Maybe check with the local glass maker about glass cover cut to size? Two sheets would make it easy to maintain, acrylic supports are dirt cheap and not only would stop jumpers but also help with evaporation :) I am a big fan of glass covers ;)

edit: sugar! I just realized this thread was idling for some time :) Really like the tube worm!

Thanks for the suggestion. We have that glass lid setup with our 47gallon with the acrylic supports. I have a really fine mesh lid on it currently like window screen fine. Seems to be working well. I don't have too much issue with evaporation.

I really like my worm too he is really cool. I love having the different types of inverts in here. I love the diversity in the tank makes it more interesting and fun to watch.

So I finally did it. I moved out my massive frogspawn and put it in another tank as it was growing so closely together we didn't feel comfortable fragging it. I moved the pocillopora frag over to where it was. I think it will fill in that space nicely. Sorry for dirty glass and a little bit of cyano haven't cleaned it this week yet. Here is a picture though!

20230214_163532.jpg

It really feels empty without the frogspawn but it was getting too big. It was touching the other rock. Oh well I still have my hammer.

So husband surprised me the other day. He went to petco and found that they were selling derasa clams for $50 a piece. Great price right? Well he got one for our 47 gallon and one for my tank. He is also part of their vital plan where he gets an additional 20% plus he had $10 in rewards. So in the end he spent like $35 on each clam. It was an amazing deal! So now I have a clam. He also went to a different local fish store and saw a cute goniopora that he got me. It hasn't really wanted to open so I will give it a couple days as it has only been in the tank a day. If it hasn't seen any improvement I will try switching up spots in the tank. Anyways here are some pictures!
