Caulerpa Algae

For some reason I can not get this stuff to grow in my refugium. The only thing I think of is that when I top off or when I do a water change I pour the buckets of water directly over the center part of the refuguim where the caulerpa is. Is it to much movement when I pour the water in?

I would expect it's the change in parameters rather than the water movement.

Mine grows like crazy is a SPS dominated system. It is in a 37 gallon refugium with low flow (mag 3, no powerheads) and 2x24w T5 6700K.
