On another thread someone mentioned the lack of appreciation given to low tech tanks. You know, those with no apex, no WiFi controllers, nothing computerized and the most basic equipment. The kind of tank the most average joe can set up and enjoy and be successful with. I figured I’d go first. I have a 90gallon softy tank with many NPS corals, gorgonians, and rare softies like stereonepthya. It’s been up for 5 years now. My equipment consists of a sump with no baffles, a skimmer, a carbon reactor, basket of denitrate rock, and return pump. Wave makers are two Jabeo gyre style pumps. Lights are six 54watt t5 bulbs and two older kessils for moonlight.
