Bought a 20gal to build into a sump for my 90gal. Unfortunely will not fit under the stand with the center brace.
Any thought's on if i can just do away with the center brace on the front

Make the front center brace just a screw in affair so it can be removed with the tank empty to install/remove your sump!

Could bolt in some horizontal 2040 aluminum extrusion bars on the inside of the lengthwise support and remove the center brace. Bit pricey though.
I do have some aluminum bars. I might throw them in for more support

If i swap out the horizontal 2x4s to 2x6, should be good?
Ah, you’re fine as-is with the center vertical supports, or you can indeed swap to 2x6 and have no center supports!
