Does anyone have any experience with uncoated ceramic mags vs neo mags ? I ordered a frag rack offline and didn't realize the mags used until I got it in the mail and the paper that came with it said they can be used uncoated/epoxied ?

Will I be okay,or so I send it back ?

I mean if they aren’t coated I’d probably send em back
I did some digging and people having been using ceramic magnets uncovered since like 2006. I just wanted to see if anyone these days has any experience with them so I know production material quality changes all the time. I am waiting on a reponse from the seller.

I’d read reviews of the product from the seller to make sure no one has had issues with the seller’s magnets
All the reviews are solid, all the way back to the first review. Only complaints are the strength of the magnets. I placed it in my empty WB 10g and they feel plenty strong.

Many of my frag racks are ceramic magnet. It’s a noticeable weakness compared to other magnets. Especially once frags are put on. I don’t trust them with hammers and torches. Once they get some weight on them, snails can shift the shelf. Smaller frags it seems to be ok

My 3d guy tells me: The circular ones don't technically need epoxy they're just ceramic.

He still puts what appears to be a layer of epoxy or resin over them on the wet side
