So this doesn't qualify as an emergency but I upgraded my tank yesterday and my chaeto went from dark green to this that you'll see in the pic below. Almost grayish red. It was sitting with no flow for about 3 hours but I wouldn't think this would be enough to damage it. Not exactly sure what happened or if its even in bad shape. I'm new to chaeto. Looks like it just "caught" some stuff in the move. I wouldn't worry a bit. It's pretty hardy.

Ah, good to hear. Been trying to stir it up but seemed to be on there pretty good. Might pull it out and give it a shake tomorrow. But as long as it looks ok I'm happy. Thank you
