I have three chalice that I bought from austin aqua farms. All are doing well on the bottom of the tank for about 6 weeks. I have 30 3w LEDs in a biocube 29. Now one of the chalice is losing color but seems to still be growing. Moved it up towards light but still faded red. How can I bring its color back. Also, fast should they grow?

Well, I dont have leds at this momemt but each types of light will do different on coral. Chalises like less light and some inderect lighting, try this and see what you get.

Acclimating new specimens to LED lighting can be a little tricky sometimes. If your chalice is losing color, then consider moving it into a partially shaded area on the sandbed for a few days.

Some chalices grow relatively quickly, while others are slow as Christmas. A general rule if thumb seems to be that the rare and/or expensive chalices seem to be painfully slow growers.

Most chalices seem to like partial shading to low light to keep their beautiful colors.

I usually try that advice on any corals I have that seem to be losing color or fadeing a little shade goes along way
