Chalice Questions

I have a few Mummy eye frags and a few watermelons as well and I'm just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as far as placement in my tank. I have a 250 gallon look-down tank that's only 16 inches deep. I have 2- 175w 20K MH's, 2- 65w pc's and some blue LED's. Water quality has always been very good and actual water flow is about 5 x's the tanks volume.

The reason I ask is because I have a bunch of other chalice's that are about half way up and they grow pretty good. I've had these frags at the same levels and it seems like they're not growing at all. The colors are excellent and they're eating Rod's food when I feed the rest of the tank, but they still have the same amount of eyes that they did when I got them 5 - 6 months ago and are roughly the same size?

Every chalice grows different. It seems some grow real fast some grow real slow. My superman knockoff has been the same size for 5 months now. My tyree pumpkin patch has doubled in size in 2 months. They are different.

welcome to r2r first off...;)

sounds normal for chalices hence the different price tags.... some grow super fast mediocre and the painfully slow growers like bpc flamethrower....
