I might consider using the coral lab A/B settings but knocking the W/Cw/G/R down to about 10%. My experience has been that 80-100 par works well though I have also had success under 150-200 using MH bulbs and currently have several under T5s at 90-100 par, all are doing well. If you dont have a par meter consider something like a Seneye that will report blues correctly - not too expensive juxtaposed against loosing a $500 chalice frag. If the frag is new to you and it loosing flesh it may well have been in an environment with very high or low nutrients. I would suggest testing your water and correcting anything that looks out of spec. You may also want to consider your mag levels. Chalice seem to thrive with slightly higher mag levels - around 1400 has always been a sweet spot for me and others. Lastly chalice thrive when they feed frequently. The more often you feed the more eyes/mouths the chalice will develop and the faster they will grow. Good luck!

hi, thanks alot for your reply
My water conditions are very good and stable, verified with monthy analysis.

Ive read about the magic 1400 MG level and upped mine from 1320 to 1400 :)

Yes, i will definately will get a seneye

Youre right, the chalice was in lower nutrients and much higher light (Acro fragtank) before!

Thanks i will try the SPS AB but im afraid of UV and Violets that high :/

Placed the Chalice in a shady place in your reef. See if that helps, when I first started showing interest in Chalices, I placed them in direct light and they start showing signs of bleaching and dieing. I moved them in lower light they came back. Some Chalice love high light but allot don't.

Dunno what's the morph, got it for IDR 80.000 so it's pretty cheap for a piece that big. Sorry for the image quality, I took it with my phone. Can anyone also do an ID?
