A client of mine is having some issues with some of his chalices. These are mostly tank raised chalices like Oregon Mummy Eye, and Pink *******. 90% of them are all fine except for a few of them are losing skin around the edges.
Parameters are the following:
Calcium 450
Alk 8 dkh
Mg 340!?!? Too low right!!! I told him that Magnesium should be around 1300. Told him to make sure.
pH 8.0
I also read that some LPS will let go of its skeleton base if Molybdenum is deficient.
The tank is pretty loaded up with echinos. Could it be enzymes released by corals that are trying to fight off other encroaching corals? I told him to run some carbon just in case.
I also wanted to know if you all think this is LPS Eating Amphipods? If so how much Interceptor should I dose for a 90 gallon reef?
Please help cuz I feel sorry for this guy. Has a ton of super rare high end stuff in there.
