I kept a veiled chameleon quite a few years ago. She died of old age, and I didn't have it in me to get another one. Went with a bearded dragon instead. And then got the reef tank :)

I currently have veileds...have had in the past pygmy's, Jacksons and would love to get a panther some day....:)

No chameleons unfortunately....pretty much every other species of lizard though lol. I kept large Monitors (Argus and Nile) and Iguanas for a long time.

Nice Nosy Be. I am diggng the quadricornis graciliors. They are actually really easy to keep. They just prefer it cooler and wetter than my panther.

Love that Nosy Be Blue.. I had a pair of veileds for years, also a green basilisk and a cyclura lewisi hybrid, currently I have a trio of radiated torts :) I have to say, they are like little dogs and will greet any humans, and beg for foods.

So jealous! A lewisi hybrid is my dream pet! When the kids are older it is going to happen, but for now the only reptile I have is a sulcata lol. I miss having a house full of herps but I don't miss buying bugs and produce in bulk haha.

They are a BIG responsibility, mine had a 10x12' greenhouse to himself and was an amazing animal to have. I'll have to pull up some pictures of him, they're definitely worth the effort :). I sadly had to sell him after a downsizing. Tortoises are the wisest of the herps I think, and have the most personality.

Psh this sucker will have his own bedroom lol. My iguana (green) had his own room and always was free to come and go, he would come downstairs and nap with me on the couch lol. He was honestly the best pet I ever had. I love my tort, but he doesn't care that I exist unless I have greens lol. I would love to see some pics of him if the OP doesn't mind:)

I have had a few species over the years. Currently a veiled... A mean one. I have had males of this species before and they were tolerable, not this one. I have a roach colony and this is just me trying to put some in his cup. He will chase to bite and will penetrate through a finger nail.

I take good care of him and will until he dies, but I will not cry much when he goes! Oustlets and Panthers have been my fav. Although I liked veileds before this one.

Lol males are vicious!! Mine was the same he bit so hard he left imprints on both sides on my hand through the glove I was wearing for protection!
Love the chammys...but not the smell of crickets...and when the last is gone I won't miss gutloading the little bugger's at all!

I sold my chameleon, 11 types of rainforest geckos, and custom 7’ tall live terrarium with waterfall to upgrade my salt tank. Kinda miss watching them but definitely don’t miss the smell and sound of crickets

I can’t imagine selling my Chameleons. They are like family. Especially if the reason was to invest money in a different hobby. ‍

I would give mine away in the video above! Well only if the person was a chameleon expert. My others were like family but I have my limits, ha.

One thing that does surprise me is how little work they are if you set things up well from the start. I have a colony of dubia roaches so I have not had to buy food in years, I do supplement in the summer with bugs on the screen door (yes, yes, all pesticide free), but with the mister on a timer and lights I just put roaches in once a week or so and fill the water bin once a month. Had a few species set up this way the past 15 years or so and always worked great.

Ive been keeping chameleon’s for 6 years. If I had the space I would gladly take him off your hands.
