Hey Reefers,

I have this alveopora that was bought with a couple dark spots. However the dark spot got larger after about 3 months so it seems like it's spreading. Everything else including other alveoporas are doing well in the same tank.

What can I do to save it?

IMO there is nothing you can do. The dark spots are dead spots where algae is growing. Give it medium light and medium flow, but otherwise it is super tough to turn around a dying Goni/alveo, especially if you bought it in that condition. Dipping it or touching it or messing around with it will kill it quicker. The best you can do IMO is leave it alone and hope or pray. Good luck
