I want to change my aquascape in an established tank. Mixed reef mostly softies with a few LPS and SPS. Was out of the hobby for years and got back in. 20 years ago I used to do fish only tanks where I’d just stack live rock along the back wall. I thought my aquascape was okay until I started buying corals and i just hate it for more than one reason. Long story short I bought a bunch of dry Marco rock smashed it up and built an awesome structure with tons of ledges over hangs and minimal footprint in the sand using Marco 400 and super glue. I have the new structure in a 45 gallon bin with water I took out during a water change and just a power head in there to circulate water and try to cycle the new marco rock. What is the best approach to getting the new structure in and taking the old rock out without disrupting just about everything? I understand I may have to cure the new rock for a bit and even have to put some of the old pieces in the sump as I switch them over but just looking for any advice or maybe someone that has done this before?
