Cheap Rechargeable Auto Feed with Portion Control

Hello folks. I am a huge advocate for being able to leave your tank unattended for vacation, work travel etc. A big part of that, aside from a bulletproof auto top-off system, is a reliable, user-friendly auto-feeder. The problem with all of these newfangled feeders is that they assume everybody has a frameless tank. 95% of the feeders are not made to fit a tank with a frame. The company that ever designed one to fit a framed tank, could kill it in the industry.

It isn't pretty, but I mounted mine to one of those suction cup phone mounts and stuck it on the side of the tank. Works perfectly.

Perhaps the cheapest auger-based, programmable feeder, up to 6 times a day, keeps your fish fat and nitrate through the roof :)

It does feed quite a bit on the lowest setting (can be fixed by adding a 30-50 ohm resistor to the motor), and flake food tend to get stuck due to the small exit hole.

I use these on my framed frag tank (50 gallon) without issue - the adjustable clamp mount fits over most normal sized tank frames, perhaps not extremely large framed tanks with very thick frames.

I see on the description it says not to use flake food. Have you used it with success?

If you mean the product in my original post, yes, I use it with flakes without issue.
