So I am using a piece of rubber disposal hose for my return. It is 7/8" ID and 1 1/4" OD. In my excitement of getting the tank, I forgot to put in a check valve in the return line. I am having difficulty locating a check valve to fit the line. Its about 8" long, from my return pump to the hard plumbing. Any recommendations? Thanks!

If you have a sump that can’t handle the back flow, then you need to rethink the setup. A check valve will fail regardless of how meticulous you are in maintenance.

The only thing I've found a check valve useful for is to prevent the gush of air when the return pump is powered back on. I have one on my water box because it was part of the plumbing. I have never used one on my systems that I built. I have confirmed my sump on the WB can handle the back flow so I'm leaving the valve in for now.
