Chemiclean Question

Hello all, I’m going to start the chemiclean treatment tomorrow. I’ve tried multiple carbon filtration choices, and done other basic things to try and get rid of it, now it’s getting all over and decided to do this. My question: Is two air stones (aqua fizz 1 inch cylinder), and 900 gph flow (powerhead plus stock pump), enough to run this while mainting safe oxygen levels?

I don’t run it in a reactor. Just using stuff like phosnet and chemi pure elite, should I still remove them before treatment?They’re about 5 months old, am replacing them after waterchange after treatment

Make certain your return and powerhead are disrupting the water surface and with the added airstones it should be fine. GL

Yes, remove all carbon, polyfilers etc. You are adding medicine and it needs time to act.

Just make sure you have a good surface agitation, I did it without an airstone or skimmer no promblems.

I used Chemi Clean (powder) about 5yrs ago and it worked great... did turn the tank water cloudy for 2 days but that cleared within the week with the water change...
Last month I used the liquid and I swear it didnt do anything.... my skimmer never overflowed and no visible change.. I still did a WC...
I have Chemi Clean “powder” on the way from Amazon. Will update my results.
