Hey everyone was hoping to get clarification on using some chemipure. Phos right now is over .9 diluted at 50%. So I figured I would add a second hob filter and put some floss and chemo pure in to start working. It’s a 60b eel, puffer, dwarf angel tank and does not have any coral and likely won’t for a bit. Does the blue effect ph that badly do warrant a use warning for high ph tanks?
Trying to keep the tank simple for the first year before I go back to running a sump, reactors etc. I do 10% wc weekly and rinse the filter sponges on the hob in the tank water when I do so. Water is made with reef crystals and 5 stage rodi water. No phosphates at baseline. Feed 1-2 daily hikari mysis, rods original, San Francisco Bay squid or store bought shell on shrimp. Obviously not all of that a day but I do rotate. I would assume the phos is coming in through one or most of the food. Just looking to get some experiences and how it worked running them? I appreciate any input and help, thanks everyone!
levels are as follows:
Alk: 8.7-8.8
Nitrates: 40
Phos: likely fairly high but again no coral.

Awesome I’ll go with the elite and run it through the other hob and try to get this phos down a bit. Appreciate you taking the time to reply!
