I bought a squamosa ultra blue clam yesteday from my LFS
and when i woke up this morning it had this big gaping mouth and it seems like its mantle got kinda torn up. Also, the clam doesn’t seem to react to shadow/ movement and only moves when i actually touch it but it doesn’t actually close all the way and feels like one of the symtoms of a gaping mouth. I dont think it is normal but since I just bought it yesteday, I’m not sure how alarming it is. Would like to know u guys’ advices and what do u think of this? Is it in a rlly bad shape or is it just under going stress phase?
