Is my clam gaping or just very happy? And just to the right of the inlet opening, it looks like the mantle is thinning?
or do I just need to calm down?

Looks great. Look how slit-like that inlet siphon is. What par do you read at the sand bed?

Seems normal. To verify, please retake pics under white lights

I don’t have a par meter but the clams have been there for months showing new growth. What about the partially see through patch to the right of the inlet siphon?

Watch those babies. They can be awfully fussy. I suggest getting it a nice space where it will not get bothered much (clam holder or such) and leave it be. Stirring up the rock debris and sand usually makes it happy. Good food in there. :)

Good luck.
