If i remember right maximas eyes are on the edge and others are kinda all over the place and not very visible. I can pick out a noae like nobodiea business the rest im a lil hazy on if i dont see shell...

The bottom I know is a derasa, I just like yhe maxima's shell better
Maximas are from tidal zones so love high light and can live at the top of your rockwork if acclimated properly. But the adverse is also applicable... they love high light so you need really strong lighting if keeping on the sandbed. I wouldnt say they are hard to care for though...

I just emailed them about the type of clam the one on the first pic is
Pretty sure Maxima. If you look at the edge along its mantle. All that black color if you looked really close would be a bunch of "eyes" which are its way of sensing light.

Mines a variant of a maxima and i blast it with light on the bottom. And its on the move today all of a sudden.
