At a 14k color setup I can get blues and violets up to 120% output
acclimate slowly. Fwiw, I have about 600 to 700 par at the top of my 55g. I have acros right next to the top. also xenia and Paly's.

Ill post my schedule later in the day if youd like. Depends on each tank.... i cant put my hydra hd above 45 in the cool white or things get cranky and cyano starts to rage out.
that channel likely contains the most par and a very broad spectrum.

I agree! I have all my blues in overdrive as well as aspiration spikes or w.e ya call them. Going to order a hanna checker and actually test my nitrates and phosphates on my tank. My guess is i have excess of both so with increasing whites i give the algae the extra boost to outcompete my coral for the nutrients.

Whaaaa???? what for? lol.
IME it "burns off" after a while. I rehabbed my 30g from major cyano with a hob refugium and a 150 mh weekly water changes. I just let the cyano run its course and eat itself out of a job.

Thatz been my plan so far as well. More so for peace of mind so i kind of know... not that its going to change my routine or anything. Maybe make me go to every other day feedings of roids instead of daily lol and possibly have a waterchange schedule... not just 5 gallons once a month or so when im bored...
