Ok guys, I thought this would be fun…I recently got a derasa clam, I named it Kyle, and Kyle has been doing very well! :D what kind of clams are you guys keeping?

looks like it'll be a great specimen once it's acclimated and opens up fully!

edit: just as a PSA, these guys LOVE light, like more than most corals in the hobby, and soak up calcium, even as little babies. I know this is a show-off thread and not a how-to, but just since this looks like a new clam into a relatively new tank I gotta give the usual PSA.

Not sure yet. I'd like to try a hippopus again, but space is a premium down there so maybe end up with a maxima or crocea. Woukd love a squammie, but again, space.

My long term plan is to sell off some of my more expensive LPS e.g fancy torch, indos & rainbow acans funnel the capital into more clams for an SPS/clam only tank.
Fascinating things!
