I have a fluval evo 13.5 with an ai grow blade running on it, corals are all doing great and have always wanted a clam. The light is running at 60 percent on their lps growing template. I have a nice spot on the top of the rocks I could place it directly under the light or could make some room further down if needed let me know what you think. Thanks

I don't believe a 13.5 gallon is a good home for any tridacna clam. They need specific conditions other than lighting as well. I would recommend more research before moving forward with this plan.

If this is going to be your first clam, I would recommend that you read James Fatherree's book. This will give you a better understanding of their needs and care requirements. I think if you can successfully grow acropora in that tank, then you have a real shot at keeping a clam. Stability in nano systems can be tough, but it can be done. Knowing the par output of your light would be helpful, so renting or borrowing a par meter would give you that info. It's not impossible, but it will definitely be challenging.
