have some area on sandbed-looking for corals

thinking maybe a clam-but want to know if there are any more simple and easier

tank is 14 years old, but was an upgrade about year and a half ago

Derasa or squamosa for the sand are great choices.

I took a stab at re-selling a while back. I would suggest Maxima or Derasa also.

Must have good lighting, good water chemistry, and if you have a fish that likes to peck a lot it may stress the clam. But they are beautiful and grow fast.

Long term I would stick to clams that usually reside on the sand or flat areas of the reef, such as squamosa, derasa, gigas, hippopus. Maximas and croceas are not good choices for the sandbed and are not usually found on the sand, they prefer solid rock or solid structures to bore into. Also, lighting is the other issue with keeping certain clams on the sand.
