This video has been shown around a few times, mostly to do with algae alleopathy on stressed coral reefs.
More interesting is, besides certain algae nutrients, any stress on a coral increases pathogens/viruses, whether the stress is temperature or pH related, or due to anything else.
Clams are highly effective at removing bacteria, including virulent bacteria from the water.
