Classic 46 Gallon Zeroedge

Hello everyone, started out with a 16g Innovative Marine tank that I bought for my not yet three year old son, or so I thought. He loves "Finding Nemo", so I got him a couple of sexy Onyx clowns and a yellow tang, and before I knew it, it was packed with corals. I quickly realized how much I love corals, feeding them, watching them grow and multiply, checking the water conditions and flow to make sure they are happy..... Anyways, I also realized my favorite way to view corals, especially my bubble tip anemones, are from the top. Here is my new tank, I'll update this thread as best I can, here are a few pictures of it being set up.

Gorgeous tank! Plenty of open floor for some nice lps. Do you find the zero edge to be messy as in salt creep/spots on the stand?

So far, no issues with salt creep. Every time I stick my hand in to move things around, I try my best to wipe dry any spots or splashes. If my hands don't go in, the stand stays nice and dry.

Aquarist in the blind... I've never heard of zeroedge design. Looks nice and can see why the view is enhanced. So the water overflows the edge of the tank all around, is captured on the outside with perimeter drains and returned to the sump? Can we see pic's of the sump area? Tank leveling must be key with this. Is there any eurobracing involved? How about evaporation; it must be accelerated due to the surface area the water runs down on, no? Thanks for sharing...

Yes, exactly the way you describe it, the perimeter drains are located in the back and return to the sump. I will post a picture of the sump in the morning. You are correct, evaporation is enhanced, I'd say about a gallon a day, if not a gallon and a half. I had help setting up the tank, and the stand was perfectly leveled before and after sand, rocks and water were added. However, the side facing my living room (right side of the tank) was not completely clear, it was slightly distorted from the flow of the water being forced over rather than falling over. After playing with the flow nozzles for about and hour, I decided to give the adjustable legs on the right side a few twists with the intent of lowering it. After just a few twists on each leg, it became crystal clear. I'm sorry, I don't know what eurobracing is.

Newest additions to my tank. I don't know why the pictures only uploads upside down, but after 10 minutes of trying to figure it out, I said screw it. The red one is an Inferno bubble tip, the lighter yellow one is a Fire tip bubble anemone. Both are from Coral Collection. Great service, they answered all my questions, fast shipping, will do business with again. Both anemones are absolutely stunning, they do glow just as brightly in this picture as they do in the flesh. Both seem happy in their spots, if I don't see any movement, I'll start adding more coral pieces to the tank and try to get a larger photo for you guys. It's hard to get a decent photo cause of the LEDs, but I'll mess around with the settings and figure it out.

Brett at zeroedge custom built those for me when I told him the lights I would be running, he calls them "light trees". I believe he can custom build them for any light or lights you may be running for the tank.
