Sorry, no invertebrates are safe to keep if there is a treatment level of copper in the water. Some hermit crabs and shrimp can survive low levels of coppersafe, but levels that low won't treat any fish diseases.

There are herbivorous fish that will eat some types of algae, but "displacement" sometimes happens - the tank has algae that tangs love, but they eat it. then, since there are still nutrients in the water, a different species of algae that the tangs DON'T like starts to grow. With a varied invertebrate CUC, that is a bit less likely to happen.

A lot of herbivorous fish grow pretty large and need lots of swimming room.

I agree with Jay. There is no reason to run copper unless you run it at therapeutic levels to treat an infestation. Running a low dose does nothing and long term can affect some fish.
