Cleaner Skunk Shrimp mort

Good morning! .. well kind of :anxious-face-with-sweat:

This morning I woke up to my adult Skunk Cleaner Shrimp on the sandbed after noticing some odd behavior the night before, 9 days after purchase.

Last night I noticed the Skunk Cleaner in his usual spot, upside down surveying the tank.. but something seemed off. He was hanging on by only his front two legs while his tail end was hanging down. I thought he was just being lazy and playful until he decided to move to a different rock to do the same pose, except this time he was hanging on by ONE leg almost as if he wanted to be taken away by the current. I reduced the flow on my Wavemaker and turned off the lights for the night in hopes of reducing any potential stress.

I checked the water parameters first thing this morning after finding the carcass, and since it was too meaty to be a molt, I wanted to make sure everything was okay

Keep in mind:
-I added the Shrimp to my fishless tank on Feb 5, 2025
-Tank age: 47 days (Dec 29, 2024)
-Feeding small dose of small pellet Vitalis Platinum Marine

I've contacted my LFS explaining the situation and awaiting a response! Curious to hear what you folks think may have caused my first mortality. Photos available if needed but pretty self-explanatory

PS: Shrimp is currently being consumed by my Halloween Hermit #circleoflife

What are your parameters - anything else in the tank? Could be multiples issues (I doubt flow rate playing a role - as the shrimp would have moved to a new place). Though you know the shrimp died and wasn't a molt skin - the fish are more susceptible to issues when molting/starting to molt - and so maybe the stress of transfer and an upcoming molt are the issue - I doubt it would have starved in the time you've had it - but it likely did not have adequate food?

Molt process failed, somewhat common.
Some believe running iodide @0.06ppm aids the process.
