Hi all,

Newbie question. Apologies if asked before or wrong board.

Can you get anything chemical free for cleaning filters, filter socks, protein skimmers etc. just equipment in general. I thought fairy liquid etc, but don’t want to risk any chemicals. Thanks all 😊

Citric acid works very well for machinery (skimmers, powerheads, etc…)

Diluted vinegar or citric acid are best choices. Vinegar has been known to swell magnets if not the 5% grade
