Would it be ok to remove my rock durring next water change and give it a quick shake in the bucket to remove detritus? My corals are not glued down.

I'm no expert and I'm sure others will be chiming in on this. I was battling green hair algae pretty bad and during one water change end up taking each rock out and scrubbed it vigorously while in a bucket of the removed water with a toothbrush. I didn't notice any bad effects following doing this. In fact algae never really came back after that. But as I said, some folks who know way better I'm sure will be helping out on this post

No ill effects at all when you shake out the rock in the water you drain from the tank during a water change!
