How do you clean your skimmer cup? BRS suggested using magic erase sponges. I would prefer something with a handle on it, my hands are too big to fit in the cup easily.

Toothbrush or electric tie a sponge to a stick of some sort. I use a old electric toothbrush works great

I use the hose and a sponge.
My hand wont fit either so an oversized sponge works.
Note: I have extra cups for my skimmers. Pull one and replace.
You can sit the cup in a bucket of water to dislodge the heavy skim paste and come back to it later.

Hot water, bleach, and a sacrificial rag (my hands are small enough to reach into the cup and neck but it's gross). Tbh, after just soaking it in steaming hot water and diluted bleach for a minute I almost dont need to scrub

No need for bleach. The hot water works well to dislodge the paste.
I run Tunze skimmers and a LifeReef.
The Tunze neck is attatched to the cup and the easiest to clean.

I spray it with a garden hose to get the sludge off then go over it with a bottle brush, rinse and done.

Nice! Im going to get me one of those.
It will make cleaning the LifeReef cup much easier.

I use what's called a "toilet brush".

If you look around, you can find Magic Erasers (also called melamine sponges) on some kind of stick or handle:

Remove the entire skimmer, put it in your garage

I dont scrub my cup CLEAN "like new".
Rinse and wipe then back on the skimmer.

Maybe its just me but i feel like with a little bit of residue or poo sticking on the cup, the skimmer goes right back at skimming... than if i clean it to 100%.

I don't have a garden hose. I live in a townhouse with no outside water access. Where does I get a brush like that?
Not sure where we got it to but if you search for bottle brush a bunch come up. If you have a sprayer on your sink that should work. Garden hose just has more pressure.
