So somehow my basement door was open this morning when I went downstairs to feed the fish. It was about 50 in the basement and my tanks were down to 72 degrees. Everything looks okay so hopefully I've avoided a major catastrophe. My question is how quickly should I bring the temp in the tanks back up to 78? Is a 6 degree change too much to do in one day?

Thanks

In the past if I for some reason cut heaters off and forgot I increased setpoint by 2 degrees every two days to bring it back up. Bumping for more answers but I would do it gradually as 72 degrees itself isn't too cold.
