Cloudy water help please :)

How can I fix cloudy water?
Before you ask, I really don't know my parameters.
I use tap water (till my new RODI comes in)

New tank= ammonia bloom. Not to worry, it'll take care of itself. Or does the glass just need wiped down?

This tank has been running for about 8 months. And I just scraped the glass earlier.

I was thinking of getting a GFO/carbon reactor but I don't even know how to set that stuff up :( I'm new to this 'bigger system' thing. Went from a 29 to. 40 breeder and turned the 29 into the sump :-P
