Hello reefers, I have 2 baby clowfish I just purchased yesterday on my local reef club on arrival I noticed one was breathing rapidly, once I got home I acclimated then to my qt tank 5 gallon with hob filter heater, and dosed rid ich plus. the next day and the clown that wasn't breathing fast still isn't but has Stringy poop that just hanging off him. While the other clown is still breathing rapidly.Tank has been running for over a year. Any medicine I should go buy or is rid ich plus a good choice.

Pictures of the clown under white lighting may help determine. Is there a reason you used rid-ich ?
What foods are you feeding the clowns?
What is tank temperature and salinity ?

I used rid ich because it has formalin and I thought at first it might be brook or ich but there's no sighs yet just heavy breathing so I dosed before any sighs appear they ate today I fed omega one mini pellets and temp at 79 and the salinty at 1.020 I also have frozen mysis and brine shrimp and omega one freeze dried brine shrimp but haven't fed yet I just got them yesterday around 5 pm they are active and sometimes nip at each other one had the stringy poop that looked a inch long but it fell off and got sucked into the hob filter.

Ick meds should not be dosed in the dt. My suggestion is give the fish a fw dip look for flukes. If there’s flukes you can add general cure or prazipro to a qt straight prazi can be dosed ok in dt and I usually follow up with a second fw dip in 5-7 days. The general cure should take care of the white stringy poop as well because it contains metronidazole which the fish will absorb thru it’s gills however some believe metroplex added with focus to food is a better choice for internal parasites.
